Doyle PTA is the welcoming heart of our school community here in San Diego, California, dedicated to enriching every student’s educational journey. We truly believe that every family’s contribution helps create an exceptional learning environment, and you are welcome to volunteer your time and support whether or not you officially join the PTA.
We deeply value your input and the diverse perspectives you bring, and we keep our membership fee low to ensure it’s accessible to everyone.
Our passionate volunteers are the backbone of incredible initiatives like vibrant book fairs that ignite a love for reading, impactful Red Ribbon Week activities promoting healthy choices, and ensuring our library shelves are stocked with exciting new library books.
We also champion essential field trips that transform classroom lessons into unforgettable real-world experiences, foster creativity through robust art programs, and invest in top-notch physical education equipment to promote active lifestyles and teamwork.
By offering your time and support in any way you can, you directly contribute to a well-rounded, dynamic, and inspiring environment where all our children can thrive. We can’t do it without you!
Why does the Doyle PTA fundraise?
We fundraise to help support our school with things that the school district does not provide. Just some of what the PTA has provided:
- Funds to each grade for additional things to enrich our students’ education – in the past teachers have purchased classroom magazines (Scholastic, Storyworks, Time for Kids), classroom books, entry fees for field trips, additional field trip buses, Brain Pop Jr., Pebble Go, additional supplies, grade-only presentations and more
- An additional day of library so our students can go to the library EVERY week instead of every other week
- Second Step, a social-emotional learning program for the school
- Brain Pop / Brain Pop Jr. subscription for the school
- ALL playground and PE equipment
- Buses for classroom field trips
- School assemblies
- Special Education grant
- Supplies for each classroom and the School Garden
- Red folders and planners that your student brings home
- New books for the Doyle Library
- PTA programs like our California Reads reading program, Red Ribbon Week and family events
Why just donations?
We have consistently heard from our families that they are too busy to buy or sell things to help us fundraise, so we designed our fundraising to be no-hassle. Just donations! Donate online at the Doyle PTA Store, and check to see if your company does corporate matching for double the donation.
