Teachers & Families do you have Yearbook Pictures ?

Do you have Doyle related pictures* you would like to submit to the yearbook?  We would love to have your photo memories to share in the yearbook.  Please burn them onto a CD and deliver the CD to the office and ask that it be put in the PTA basket.  Please label your CD and provide your email address.  If you have any questions, please email Pamela Madden.

*By providing your photos to the PTA you grant permission for any or all of the photos to be published in a Doyle Yearbook and understand that credit is not given to any photographer for the provided photos.

Doyle Open House is Wednesday, April 7th from 6-8pm.  That is the first Wednesday after returning from Spring Break, be sure to mark your calendars!

Admission for the fun night is only $3.00 per person.

Our Doyle Student Council is inviting all Doyle community members to a Family Night Out fundraiser at Island’s restaurant in UTC on Wednesday, February 10th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Please print out the flyer below and present it to your server for Doyle Student Council to collect a portion of the proceeds.

Please join our Vice-Principal, Mr. Saipe, on Friday, January 29th from 8:00am-9:00am in the auditorium.  He will give an introduction to the new Doyle website and show parents how to find valuable information and resources.  In addition he will show parents how to register for instant school updates.  We are very excited to use this powerful communication tool and help our school community stay informed and connected.  See you there!

The PTA newsletter for the Doyle Community

The PTA is sponsoring the Mainly Mozart Assembly for Doyle Students on January 14th.  It is a funny introduction to the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart that will be entertaining and informative.  Your student won’t want to miss it!

Superstar Assemblies are back for 2010.  The assemblies take place in the Auditorium also referred to as the Multi-purpose room that is accessible at the circle drive of the school.  Here are the following times: (you may also find these located on the calendar page of our website and announced on the school website www.sandi.net/doyle.)

• Monday, January 25
  • Kindergarten > 1:00 pm - 1:25 pm
  • 1st Grade > 1:30pm - 2:00 pm
• Tuesday, January 26
  • 4th & 5th Grade > 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm
• Friday, January 29
  • 2nd Grade > 1:00 pm - 1:25 pm
  • 3rd Grade > 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Due to parent/teacher conferences, some in the mornings this week, the SGT meeting is rescheduled for next Wednesday, December 9th at 7:00 am.  SGT members please confirm the start time with the school office as the date approaches.  Thank you for your understanding.

Now is the time to make your opinion known!

Everyone is encouraged to attend one or more of the School Board’s Budget Town Hall meetings (schedule below) where our school board members will listen to your input about how to deal with the upcoming budget shortfall for next year. Now is when decisions will start to take place; class sizes could get larger and teachers cut yet again.  Programs could be lost, school libraries closed, music classes cancelled …so much is at stake, come out and contribute ideas for dealing with the budget crisis.
